Just thirty loving cups were produced to commemorate the coronation of King George vi and Queen Elizabeth in May 1937. One was specially presented to Rangers by the Stoke city Chairman Sir Francis Joseph, establishing the tradition of toasting the reigning monarch at the first match of the new year. Rangers renews the tradition in full, with the cup filled with Whisky, a rendition of the national anthem and the loyal toast.
Decades later, this remains a significant part of Rangers football club's heritage, upholding a spirit of respect and honour throughout its history. This single cask single malt serves as testimony to rangers’ rich history and tradition.
